Our Photographic Collections were established by the founders, families, friends, and community members from the larger El Monte area. As long as the museum is open, your materials will be cared for by LHHSM members. Your contribution will be used to provide scholarships for researchers and students, and used to tell the stories of El Monte's history.

To donate your materials, please fill out our online form. After you complete the form, we will review your submission and contact you with additional steps.

How you came into possession of the photo
Photographer (if known)

Your donations greatly help us to continue to preserve the stories of Mexican Americans in El Monte. We appreciate any amount you are willing to give.
Donations can be made online or by check payable to "La Historia Historical Society Museum," and should include the memo "one-time donation" in the note.
Upon receipt, a staff member will sign the receipt and send a thank-you message on behalf of the 501(c)(3) organization.

Our volunteers are the heart of our organization. By volunteering with us, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact preserving El Monte's history.
For individuals above the age of 18, the general interest volunteer form is accepted all year-round and can be submitted online. After completing the form, expect to hear back from us in 2-5 business days.
If you are a student under the age of 18, please download, fill out, and return the Student Volunteer Form (below) and drop it off during open hours. This form requires a guardian's signature.
